MIKE LAMPLEY
As a young man Mike was very much involved in powerlifting. He trained as a power lifter for 6 years. After many years of sedentary lifestyle and reaching middle age Mike realized that it was time to get healthy. He immediately began to seek an exercise program. His research into fitness programs was extensive and he came to the realization that CrossFit was the way to go. In May of 2008 Mike received his Level I certification as a CrossFit trainer. He is constantly spending time on the CrossFit main site and other affiliate sites to learn more. For Mike it is a joy to help others work towards their individual fitness goals.

CARL WOODWARD
Carl began his competitive athletic career at the old age of 6 as a swimmer. Since then, he has participated in a multitude of competitive sports including swimming, baseball, football, wrestling, track & field, mountain biking and collegiate lacrosse. He was introduced to CrossFit in August 2006 by his brother-in-law, a Captain in the Hayward Fire Department, and has never looked back to prior training methods since starting CrossFit. Carl received his Level 1 Cert in September 2008 and spends time daily on the CrossFit main page and other fitness forums reading, watching and learning about nutrition, exercise form, rest and recovery, and everything else related to human performance. His biggest takeaway after 2.5 years of CrossFit is that CrossFit not only trains the body, it trains the mind. Think you can, think you can’t , either way you are right.
