FIGHT GONE BAD - 20 rep max each station

Instead of max reps in one minute at each station, they had to complete 20 reps at each station for time. Three rounds for time of:

20 Wall balls (20lbs. to 10′)
20 Sumo deadlift high pulls (75lbs.)
20 Box jumps (20″)
20 Push presses (75lbs.)
20 Calorie row
1min rest

Three rounds for time of:

Row 500 meters
21 Burpees
Run 400 meters

Keith’s Random Gym Time (Sunday)

Hey Crossfitters…I know the gym is usually closed on Sunday, but we’re going to open it for a little CF fun. There will be no day of rest here! I will open the gym at 2:15 PM and it will close promptly at 3:10. I have to get to work, so that is why it has to close promptly! I’m looking forward to another spectacular session. I saw lots of you on Saturday and Andrew showed up for the weekday session and put me through my paces.

Speaking of Andrew, he let it be known that he is thinking of doing the CrossFit Games in July in Aromas. I have promised to train hard with him so he can attain that goal. I think it would be totally awesome to have MM Crossfit represented at the games!

I’m thinking of getting the cops in the gym to do a match against the firefighters and do a SWAT Fran Vs. a FireFighter Fran. What do you think? Just a thought…I figure the firefighters should get some exercise time since they spen so much time in those recliners!

A little on rest and recovery.

The body needs to be pushed to its limits to adapt, but if you don’t allow time to recover, your hard work may be lost in the shadows of your exhaustion. Your workouts are only as good as your recovery. Take time the to rest and recover when you need to and you will see the pay off in your workouts.

Does CrossFit get results fast?

On May 18th 2008 Mike and Mike did their 1st FGB at Level 1 cert training.  Mike L. scored a 182 and Mike H. scored a 181 with scaled box jumps.  On July 21st 2008 they did their second FGB.  Mike L. scored a 287 and Mike H. a 278.  Yeah, we’d say that Coach is right when he says “You can’t argue with results”.
